Pet Description

Tank Mates & Compatibility:
These timid, small fish should not be housed with large or aggressive species to avoid bullying or predation. Ideal companions include guppies, dwarf cichlids, smaller danios, barbs, and other community fish like rummy-nose, cardinal, and glowlight tetras. They thrive in a peaceful tank with conditions suited to tetras.

Ideal Number to Keep:
As mid-level feeders, they are best kept in schools of six or more to replicate their natural shoaling behaviour. Keeping them in groups enhances their colour and activity levels compared to solitary individuals.

Feeding:
Paraguayensis Tetras are omnivores that accept fine flake foods. To ensure a balanced diet, offer small live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworms, and tubifex. Tropical sinking pellets with natural colour enhancers are ideal for vibrant colouration. Adding variety with frozen bloodworms or other micro-pellets keeps them healthy and active.
